Subic's RegattaXSummerSiren

SinoPinas sent me to Regatta’s Summer Siren in Olongapo last May 12-14.

Siyempre, I was happy ‘coz I get to pull out OOTDs for the event. We were designated to be picked up in Mandaluyong area and as my co-participants started joining the ride, naisip ko talaga na mali ata ako ng nasakyan. Bakit puro mukhang artista ‘yung kasama ko. Mukha akong julalay nila beh. Napilitan tuloy ako mag-red lipstick. Lol.

Umupo na lang ako sa pinakadulo ng shuttle at nanahimik pero siyempre ‘di ko rin natiis ‘yung daldal ko while we were having breakfast sa NLEX stopover. So I learned more about my shuttle buddies, Dale (who is from Regatta Marketing and the one who tapped SinoPinas), Crisha (who eventually became my roomie), Brandon, Kurt, and Dylan.

We arrived around lunch at Subic and registered for the Summer Siren. After having lunch with the rest of the Regatta team (Toni, Erika, Neil, Kerbs), we checked in and agreed to meet at 3 PM for the Inflatable Island experience.

Inflatable Island

Ang masasabi ko lang dito, di ako nainform na workout pala ‘to – matinding arm day. First ko natanaw is ‘yung mga tao headed towards the highest point (the orange rectangle on the farthest right). Akala ko, slide lang ung ganap dun. Meron palang pa-jump towards another rectangular floater (the blue orange, and white floater under the rectangle) that is meant to toss ung person lying on the other side.

Takot talaga ako sa heights but I love adventures so I jumped looking at the horizon. Fail tuloy kasi may i-hit na part ng floater to toss the other person towards the water successfully.

When it was my turn to be tossed, beh, nasaktan ako kasi pagka-toss sakin, tumama ung ulo ko sa dulo ng floater. Para akong nabagok. Pero masaya naman kasi inulit ko pa.

We went to the other parts pero struggle to go to the other sections kasi may challenges on the way like you have to jump on floaters with waters separating them bago makacross or kailangan mong mag-baras (monkey hang) or kailangan mong gapangan ung four big cylindrical floaters na parang gulong beside each other and are only attached by a rope so puwede ka mag-roll pailalim to the water again.

We did “cliff jumps” and the baging jumps (similar to Cambugahay Falls in Siquijor) and also wall climbing sa floaters na struggle coz madulas. Struggle nga mismo ung pagsampa sa floater pag bumaba ka sa water kasi you have to pull yourself up using ropes lang. But super daming ganap.

Summer Siren Day 1 “Hugot Concert”

Medyo late na kami nakawash up for the concert. We watched SUD at 8 pm before having dinner

SUD

We went back for UDD. Sayang na ‘di naming naabutan sila Gab and John of Urbandub. Baka kinanta nila ‘yung favorite song ko sa I’m Drunk I Love You na kahit favorite ko, di ‘ko maalala ‘yung title at ung lyrics. Buttt, UDD!

UDD!

Then EDM by Jason Dewey followed so people went from hugot songs to party music.

The team started drinking and planned to drink some more pero medyo strategic kami ni Crisha sa pagiging #TeamTulog.

Water Activities

Ayy, chaka the hair

Ay, chaka the posture

Ay chaka nakatagilid

Hmmmm

Ibang pose naman haha

Ay, natakpan na naman 'yung bundok

Ay, nawala uli ung bag

Ay chaka nung isang shoulder lang nakasuot

Beh, ung totoo?

Beach shot na nga lang. Test shot muna.

Kapagod!

Water activities started around 10.

Dylan on Fly Board

I settled sa pag-angkas sa jet ski while Mark drone shots everything.

Yacht Party

Bago ‘yan, naenjoy ko ung lunch with crispy pata, bulalo, chicken, at marami pang iba. We rode the Regatta yacht and circled around Subic Bay. Sobrang serene lang and fun kasi dami alcoholics and chips but ung Lay’s at tubig ‘yung nilantakan ko kasi pabebe ako lol. So naenjoy ko ung paghiga-higa sa yacht kaya nakatulog ako maya-maya.

Summer Siren Day 2 “Party Music”

We arrived at almost 6 pm sa hotel after the yacht party and I remembered na wala pa akong shot for posting sa SinoPinas kasi di lang ako happy sa shots ko, I ran to the beach to catch the sunset and take some snaps.

Dinner was at 8 pm across our hotel. I ordered sausage and a cup of rice kasi ‘di naka-rice meal ung sausage. Strawberry shake was served after a few minutes pero ayoko agad inumin since baka mabusog ako for the main course. Kaso beh, naserve ung sausage after more than an hour. Nung naubos ko na ung fried potatoes mixed with the sausage, ‘di ko na natiis but asked the waitress for the extra rice I ordered. Si beh, sinerve after a long while, nakaplatito.

We went partying at the concert grounds. Super okay the EDMs and while most are under the influence of alcohol, I was under the influence of strawberry shake.

Subic Activities I Recommend:

Inflatable Island (kahit two-hour pass lang)
Water Activities especially flyboarding and jet skiing
Yacht Partying (what we gathered is it’s 5k per hour rental and we used the yacht for about three hours with around 20 people in the yacht but check nyo na lang rates at Subic Yacht Club for accuracy but must try)

Where to Eat in Subic (in the order of my preference):

Vasco's near Subic Yacht Club Ang sarap ng bulalo, crispy pata, and chicken!

Xtremely Xpresso Cafe The best 'yung cheesecake and they serve fruit shakes without sugar, like they ask if you don't want sugar proactively. Haha. Ang sarap din ng grilled liempo and lasagna and the pepper steak looks promising though di ko natry. Haha.

Texas Joe's House of Ribs Solid 'yung ribs and gigantic servings.

Their shakes are at P95 and we're talking about gigantic shakes. Sarap din nung sausage and nung fried potatoes with it. Matagal lang sila mag-serve like two hours. Haha
